At 1, the envelope matters more than the letter. Look for the child’s name on the outside, something to hold on the inside, and paper sturdy enough to survive small hands. A personalized letter is largely for you to read aloud — which is fine, as long as you are buying it knowing that.
Almost nobody designs mail for a one-year-old. A personalised letter does nothing for a child who cannot read, so most makers start at three — which is why the list below is short. Two things worth knowing: twenty-one of the forty clubs in this directory publish no age range at all and several would be perfectly fine this young, and at one the format that actually lands is music, stickers, or something sturdy to hold rather than anything written.
