Letters clubs for kids

A letter club is the format most people picture when they think of mail for a child: a recurring character — a snail, a dog, a fairy, a small bear — writes every month, usually with the child's name somewhere in the text rather than only on the envelope. The good ones build continuity, so month four references month two and the child remembers.

What separates them is how far the personalization goes. Some print the name on the outside and nothing more. Some write it into the story. A few take an intake form covering pets, siblings and interests and thread the details through a whole year. All three get described the same way on the checkout page, so it is worth reading the listing before you buy.
