On the 15th of every month Ms. Chelsea mails a themed envelope with your child's name on the front: an original music-class experience she writes and records herself, on CD plus a digital download that works on a phone, Yoto or Toniebox, an illustrated booklet with the lyrics and what each song is teaching, stickers, and extras like crafts and art.

Mailbox Melodies is made for developing minds. Every track is an original, written and recorded in the same calm, slow-paced style Ms Chelsea uses in her in person music classes — built around emotional regulation and early brain development rather than volume and speed. Ninety percent of a child's brain growth happens by age five, and the running order of each volume is deliberate: warm-up, movement, skill-building, calm-down, lullaby. No shuffle, no autoplay, no screens.

What arrives

One delivery a month.

  • A decorated, themed envelope addressed to your child by name — not a mailing label
  • An original music-class experience written and recorded by Ms. Chelsea, on CD plus a digital download that plays on a phone, a Yoto or a Toniebox
  • Fourteen tracks a volume: sing-a-longs, mindfulness, movement, music skill building and lullabies
  • An illustrated song booklet paired to the CD, with the lyrics and what each song is teaching
  • Monthly extras — crafts, art, stickers and other surprises
  • Automatic entry into the monthly Golden Ticket giveaway, drawn at random from every member
  • A portion of every subscription goes to school supplies for children in need

Replies are welcome and go to the return address on the letters. Ms. Chelsea reads them, and drawings and responses from subscribers sometimes turn up in later volumes.

Who makes it

Mailbox Melodies is made start to finish by Ms. Chelsea — an early childhood music educator, preschool teacher and mother of two. She is classically trained in voice with more than thirty years of stage experience and has performed professionally for Disneyland and SeaWorld. Families who could not get to her in-person music classes at Grape Jammers kept asking how they could have the same thing at home, and Mailbox Melodies is her answer.

Pricing detail

$19 a month with no commitment — cancel and come back any time. Multi-month packs are cheaper up front: 3 months $57, 6 months $109, 12 months $199. Shipping is included and every volume ships on the 15th.

Testimonials published by the club on mailboxmelodies.net. The reviews further down are the ones left by readers of this site.

This is the first time he has sat down all day. He keeps saying he just wants to listen to his tunes — he is in a trance.
First thing he did when he woke up was turn your CD on. Mornings can be really stressful with both boys wanting my undivided attention — your calm, beautiful voice in our living room made things so much easier.
I was blown away by the quality of your voice and the music. It wasn’t just one song after another — it was interactive and slower paced. I got to see her act out the prompts, and it was so nice to do it together.
It was so nice to watch her listen, and I got to do it with her. It’s just nice not to be the one leading the activity — we got to do it together. When we checked the mail she was physically jumping up and down.
Honestly, I really enjoyed it too — I love kid music that isn’t annoying.
