A hand-illustrated letter from a goat named Francis, who writes about animal friends he meets around the world, in a brightly colored envelope. Each letter includes a die-cut collectible animal sticker. Letters are billed and mailed around the 10th to 15th.

Writings from the Wild

A double-sided handwritten letter from the point of view of a different wild animal each month, plus a collector's card and printable activity sheets. The premium tier adds a postcard, a die-cut sticker and sketchbook files showing scientific classification and step-by-step drawing. Ships to all 50 states and more than 37 countries.

Which one to pick

We are not going to pretend there is a winner here — they are close enough to be on the same shortlist, which is why this page exists. What we would say is that the choice usually turns on the household rather than the club: how much adult time there is, whether the child reads independently yet, and whether you want post that asks something of them or post that simply arrives.
